1. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use Laevyl and which features you choose to enable.
Account Information
When you create or use a Laevyl account, we may collect and process information including:
- Email address
- Display name
- Account identifiers
- Account creation and activity timestamps
- Device timezone
- Authentication information necessary to maintain your account and login session
Passwords submitted through email/password authentication are handled by our authentication provider, Supabase Auth. Laevyl's application database does not store your password in readable form.
Third-Party Authentication
Laevyl may allow you to sign in using third-party authentication providers.
Laevyl currently supports authentication through Discord and may support additional providers, including Google, as features are introduced.
When you choose to authenticate using a third-party provider, we may receive information that the provider makes available to us and that is necessary to authenticate or create your account, such as your email address, provider account identifier, and basic account information authorized by you.
Your use of a third-party authentication provider is also subject to that provider's privacy practices.
Profile and Social Information
Laevyl includes social and progression features that allow certain profile information to be visible to other Laevyl users. Depending on the features available, this may include:
- Display name
- Laevyl-provided avatar
- Character class
- Title
- Level
- Power rating
- Total XP
- Day streak
- Number of quests completed
- Achievements
- Number of titles unlocked
- Guild information
- Momentum
- Friend count
Laevyl currently provides avatars from within the application. Users cannot currently upload their own profile photographs or custom avatar images.
Your email address, authentication information, device tokens, timezone, and underlying Health Connect information are not displayed as part of your public Laevyl profile.
Quest, Progression, and Activity Information
Laevyl is built around quests, progression, achievements, and other activity-based features. To operate these features, we may process and store information such as:
- Assigned and completed quests
- Quest progress
- Completion status
- Progression activity
- XP and levels
- Streaks
- Achievements
- Titles
- Character statistics
- PvE and other gameplay-related progression
- Relevant timestamps
- Other application activity necessary to calculate and maintain your progression
Some of this information may be generated from actions you take within Laevyl or calculated by our systems.
2. Health and Fitness Information
Laevyl may integrate with Health Connect by Android to support fitness-related quests.
When a relevant step- or distance-based quest is assigned and you have granted the required Health Connect permissions, Laevyl may read:
- Step count
- Distance traveled
Laevyl requests access to these Health Connect data types only for features that require them.
For example, if you receive a quest requiring you to walk a certain number of steps, Laevyl may read step information from Health Connect to determine your progress toward completing that quest.
How Health Connect Data Is Used
Health Connect information accessed by Laevyl is used to:
- Verify progress toward applicable fitness quests
- Calculate quest completion
- Update your progression within Laevyl
- Provide the fitness and progression functionality requested by you
Laevyl does not use Health Connect information for advertising, creditworthiness, data brokerage, or unrelated purposes.
How Health Connect Data Is Stored
Laevyl does not maintain a raw historical copy of your Health Connect step or distance dataset in its application database.
When Health Connect information is used for an applicable quest, Laevyl processes the relevant information and stores the resulting quest progress associated with that quest.
Once the applicable quest reaches completion, Laevyl does not continue reading Health Connect information for that quest for the purpose of increasing its progress.
Quest progress and completion information may remain associated with your Laevyl account as part of your progression history.
Your Control Over Health Connect
Access to Health Connect requires your permission. You can manage or revoke Laevyl's Health Connect permissions through Health Connect or your Android device settings.
Revoking access prevents Laevyl from accessing Health Connect information through those permissions but may prevent Health Connect-dependent quests or features from functioning correctly.
Laevyl limits its requested Health Connect permissions to the data necessary to provide its supported user-facing features.
3. Notifications
Laevyl uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to provide push notifications.
To operate notifications, we may process or store information including:
- FCM device token
- Device platform
- Token creation timestamp
- Notification content
- Notification creation timestamp
- The Laevyl account associated with the notification
This information is used to deliver and manage notifications related to Laevyl and your account.
You may control notification permissions through your device settings.
4. Device and Technical Information
Laevyl may collect limited technical information necessary to operate the Services, including:
- Device platform
- Device timezone
- Technical timestamps associated with application activity
Laevyl does not currently request precise or approximate device location permission.
Your device timezone may be used to correctly schedule and operate time-sensitive features, quests, resets, notifications, and other application functionality.
Laevyl does not currently use third-party behavioral analytics or crash-reporting services such as Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics.
We may update this Privacy Policy if additional diagnostic or analytics technologies are introduced.
5. How We Use Information
We use information collected through Laevyl to provide and maintain the Services, authenticate accounts, calculate quests and progression, provide social and profile features, deliver notifications, maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot technical problems, improve Laevyl, respond to support/privacy requests, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Health Connect information is not sold or used for advertising.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information to data brokers or advertisers.
Information may be processed by service providers that help us operate Laevyl.
Supabase
We use Supabase for backend infrastructure and services, including authentication, database functionality, server-side functions, logging, and related backend operations.
Information processed through Supabase may include account information, profile information, progression information, quest information, and other data necessary to operate Laevyl.
Google Firebase
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to provide push notifications. Firebase may process device notification tokens and technical information necessary to deliver those notifications.
Authentication Providers
If you choose to authenticate using a third-party provider such as Discord or Google, information necessary to complete authentication may be exchanged between Laevyl and that provider.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, enforce our agreements or policies, investigate fraud or abuse, protect the security of Laevyl, or protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Laevyl, maintain your account, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and meet applicable legal, security, and operational requirements.
Different categories of information may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose.
When an account and its associated data are deleted from our active systems, some information may remain temporarily in system backups created before deletion.
Backup copies are maintained for system recovery and continuity purposes and are not intended to be used to restore a deleted user's account during ordinary operation. Information contained in backups is removed as those backups are overwritten or expire according to our backup retention practices.
We may retain information where required by applicable law or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
8. Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your Laevyl account and associated personal information by contacting [email protected].
When an account deletion request is processed, we delete the user's account and associated user data from our active systems, except information that must be retained where required by law or for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes.
Information may remain temporarily in backups created before the deletion request, as described in the Data Retention section above.
Deleting information from Laevyl does not necessarily delete information independently maintained by third-party services, such as Discord, Google, or Health Connect. You may need to manage information held by those services through their respective account or privacy controls.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
Information transmitted between Laevyl and its backend services is transmitted using encrypted network connections, such as HTTPS.
Authentication credentials are handled through our authentication infrastructure, and Laevyl's application database does not store users' raw passwords.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
Laevyl is not designed or intended for children under the minimum age permitted to use the Services under applicable law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
If we learn that personal information from a child has been collected in circumstances where parental consent or another legal basis was required but not obtained, we will take appropriate steps to delete that information.

11. International Data Processing
Stayvale LLC is based in the United States.
Our service providers may process or store information in the United States or other countries. As a result, your information may be processed in jurisdictions with data protection laws that differ from those in your country or region.
Where required by applicable law, we take appropriate measures relating to international transfers of personal information.
12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may provide rights concerning your personal information, which may include rights to:
- Request access to certain personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of personal information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a copy or portability of certain information
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
These rights may be subject to exceptions and limitations under applicable law.

13. Third-Party Services
Laevyl may interact with third-party services, including Supabase, Google Firebase, Discord, Google authentication services, and Health Connect.
Those third parties may process information under their own terms and privacy policies where they act independently from Stayvale LLC.
Laevyl is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third-party services.
14. Future Features and Changes to Data Practices
Laevyl is under active development.
We may introduce additional features, integrations, platforms, or service providers over time. If a new feature materially changes how we collect, use, or share personal information, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
Features that are not currently available are not necessarily governed by descriptions of current functionality in this Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Laevyl, our data practices, legal requirements, or third-party services.
When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this policy.
Where required by law, we may provide additional notice regarding material changes.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
